Detection of Xanthomonas arboricola pv. juglandis antigen
PDRG® Walnut blight Ag Rapid kit is an immunochromatographic assay designed for the detection of Xanthomonas arboricola pv. juglandis, the causative bacterium of walnut blight.
When the test strip is placed into the tube containing the specimen, if Xanthomonas arboricola pv. juglandis antigens are present, they bind to the antigen-specific antibody conjugated with colloidal gold. Using the dropper, transfer 4 mL of extraction buffer into the zipper bag.
Place approximately 0.2–0.5 g of specimen (5–10 pieces) into the zipper bag. On a flat surface, crush the specimen with a rubber mallet (or equivalent tool) to ensure proper extraction into the buffer.
Using the dropper, transfer 4 drops (approximately 150 ul) of the extracted solution into the test tube.
Insert the Walnut blight test strip into the tube and read the results after 15 minutes.
